Starfoxxx - Ice Cream

Starfoxxx - ice cream by starfoxxxchicago
So I have obviously been listening to tons of Juke the last few daze and trying to pick out some gems for alls you. The only thing I haven't liked about it is that I keep feeling compelled to listen to Juke before I go to sleep which makes shutting down tough and makes me dream funny. I fell asleep listening to this last night and dreamed that I was playing Nintendo and eating neapolitan ice cream in a huge bowl on my lap while two round booties about the size of double basketballs bounced against my head on either side. It was a glimpse into Juke heaven?

Daniel Haaksman feat. MC Miltinho "Kid Conga"

I love this creepy kids vocals over this mean tribal beat.

Cedaa - Nippon (Myrryrs Remix)

Really slick sound comin out of Cedaa (Myrryrs on the remix here). This exists exclusively in 2012 because 2011 still isn't ready for this sound.

KEISKA - Tearjerk

KEISKA - Tearjerk (forthcoming BYRSLF-PRM006) - Free DL soon by B.YRSLF division
A Juke beauty right here. Taken from BYRSLF-PRM006 | HIRSHI vs KEISKA - "Subtle Suite / Tearjerk"

GroTTo. - LiL JaBBA (Footwork 2011)

The one of the longest, most epic Juke tracks I have heard yet. It blasts off from Chicago (though Lil Jabba is from Bmore) and just keeps going into the outer reaches of this universe.

Lil Jabba - MaSTeR KeY

MaSTeR.KeY by LiL ♎ JaBBA
Some dark Juke from Lil Jabba which goes hard.

Lil Jabba - Goons

GooNs. by LiL ♎ JaBBA
Minimal, atmospheric sounding Juke from Lil Jabba. Check this kid's (I assume he is a kid but am hoping its an old man just for wtf points) Soundcloud page for more freshness, he has quite a few tracks posted.

Jonti - Firework Spraying Moon

Jonti is on officially on the scene with this track right here. You can listen to his forthcoming album (Oct release) over at Stones Throw and you can listen to a sick mix called Shine N' Moon he just threw together over at Stones Throw here. From the artist: “Sine N' Moon is a collection of songs I made before i started to work on Twirligig. It starts with the first song i ever recorded called ’Saturday Night Songs’. While Gathering around a 4-track on a Saturday night doesn't exactly paint the perfect adolescence out of a Skins script (Ukulele solo's don't help either) It does show the role and beautiful friendship I've had with music since i left South Africa." Best of luck to you Jonti.

Bibio - Willenhall

Bibio with some solid "computer music" as my Grandma would call it. Just kidding my Grandma is dead and probably wouldn't be interested in listening to it long enough to comment in any fashion at all.

Riffs - Don't Leave Ur Girl Round Me

Who is this Riffs cat? And how is he channeling Chicago sound so well from Bristol, UK?

Clicks & Whistles - Raw Passion

Just discovered Clicks & Whistles so thought I would share. They have some pretty slick production like this going on in a lot of their tracks.

DJ Rashad - I'm Gone

A great Chicago Juke remix of Gil Scott-Heron's "Home Is Where The Hatred Is" showcasing DJ Rashad's unique sampling style. R.I.P. Gil, we in the music world know very well you are gone.

Matanza - Temazcal

Great track from Matanza whose sound usually is too much house and not enough world sound for my taste, not here. I so wish the average dance floor crowds would eat this beat up more. I say, think with your ass more and your conditioning less and we'll all have a better party.

Beach - Side9000

Side9000 - Homework EP by meanbucket
Some pretty Chicago Juke from a Czech Dubstep producer. Diversity!

Clouds - Shallow [Mungo's HiFi RFX]

Have to love the "big" sound that comes from the use of Joanna Newsom's "little" vocals on this one.

Pretty Lights - Fly Like An Eagle (Remix) [Unreleased 2010 Remixes]

Speaking of fresh, fantastic Pretty Lights and remixes, dig their "Fly Like An Eagle" remix. It is remixed better than anybody else who has ever tried to remix Fly Like An Eagle. I like the end result of combining the squishy bass of Pretty Lights, the rhymes of Rakim from "I Know You Got Soul" and the singing of Steve Miller Band. 3 champions of music in one track. If you are gonna touch anything Rakim has ever done, you better do it well (SMB is no slouch either) and Pretty Lights def does it well.

Pretty Lights - Finally Moving (Shane Martz Remix)

Pretty Lights- Finally Moving (Shane Martz Remix) by Shane Martz

I have to say when I first listened to this remix I was waiting for the beauty of the song to be murdered by some too heavy wobble bass drop or overpowering synth as is becoming all too common now that just about anybody can remix. Quality remixes are becoming even more valued by us music lovers because there are so many bad ones released these days. To my surprise, the cheshire cat like grin that was on my face by the end of this remix meant Shane Martz knows how to remix and keep the integrity and beauty of the original (and possibly also cringes when a bad remix kills said integrity/track).

Yolanda Be Cool - Villalobos for Presidente (Dubbel Dutch Remix)

Mad nice UK Funky remix of a Yolanda Be Cool track by Dubbel Dutch.

Synkro & Versa - She Said

Synkro fix thoroughly completed. +1, advance to next level.

Synkro - It's

More Synkro!

Synkro - Distant Feeling

Beautiful tune from Synkro. This kid can def produce.

Bob Ross Goes Hard In The Paint, Dubstep Style

Waka Flocka 'Hard In Da Paint' (Bob Ross vs Dubstep vs Jordan Laws) from ScreenWerks on Vimeo.

This shit is best described as fucking hilarious. Love Bob Ross, hate Wack Flocka but dubstep and humor bridges my love and hate here nicely.

Synkro - Back Then [dubstep for deep heads]

Synkro-Back Then-Dubstep for deep- heads [Free Download] by Dubstep For Deep Heads

Lovely harp laden Garage from Synkro. I have always thought that "dubstep bass", that was used in Garage music first, sounds so good in crossover styles like this one. Best of both worlds.

Downliners Sekt - negative green

Downliners Sekt played my mood today with this track. "One day they are going to figure out how to use bass frequencies to heal people from pain."

Sonara & Zuzuka Poderosa - Tamborzao Dub

A dub track from Sonora & Zuzuka Poderosa off their new album "Sonora Remezcla: Zuzuka Poderosa". They slow down the "I Like To Move It" beat and make it more sexy with the Cumbia sound. The whole Cumbia laden album is a FREE DOWNLOAD!

Die Antwoord - Beat Boy (Full Song)

Die Antwoord's rhymes go on and on, I'm exhausted after listening to this nasty novel of a song.

2 Bit Thugs - Before You Knew

2 Bit Thugs - Before You Knew - FREE DOWNLOAD by 2 Bit Thugs
Nice souled out Garage tune by 2 Bit Thugs. Deep bass, Heard It Through The Grapevine samples, synth layers and a Garage drum beat = affection for perfection.

Aphex Twin - On

Ok, maybe he isn't the boss of electronic music, maybe he is more like the Salvador Dali of electronic music...?

Aphex Twin - Donkey Rhubarb

Aphex Twin is how you say... "El Jefe de Musica Electronica". Now dance like a freak in a bear costume!
Schlachthofbronx - Mudders EP by Mixpak
Schlachthofbronx is has four new tracks filled with dancefloor fire. Canblaster's remix spreads the fire to adjacent buildings.

Burial - Archangel

My favorite Marvel comic character growing up was/is Archangel. I think Burial made this track for him and I believe he is somewhere on a mountaintop listening to this right now. This is one of my favorite Burial tracks out, thanks for reminding me ;-)

Burial- Street Halo (hq)

Burial, as we all know, produces some amazing shit. This is one of my favorites called "Street Halo". A wonderful soul in Madison just reminded me how brilliant his production can be. *tips hat

How To Dress Well - Ready For The World (Star Slinger Refix)

How To Dress Well remixed by Star Slinger. His production is very bright and driven by UK sound. You can fight amongst yourselves about which remix is better, meanwhile, the sun will be high and so be will I.

How to Dress Well - Ready For The World (xxxy remix) [FREE MP3]

And to combine the last two tracks, I give you How To Dress Well remixed by xxxy. Love the drums, their drop out and come back. It ends up giving it both a modern and 80s sound simultaneously. For the cross generational lovers.

How to Dress Well -- Ready For the World

Nice love-filled, floating track "Ready For The World" by How To Dress Well. It warms a lonely heart. Thanks for the summer memories...

XXXY - This Much

Synth layered track from xxxy. This one has remained under the radar (809 youtube views) as far as i can tell. When You Love Someone This Much You'll Turn Back Time.

Kingdom - Take Me ft. Naomi Allen

I can't say anymore about Kingdom than the top Youtube comment for this video does: "No one can touch Kingdom right now. Dude is unstoppable."Agreed. Too bad more people don't know said dude exists, their ears would welcome knowledge of this man's production (as I hope yours do).

Jodie - Moments In Heartbreak (LOL Boys Edit)

"Moments in Heartbreak" by Jodie remixed by LOL boys. This is what lost love sounds like in the future.

Koreless - Up down up down

Not sure how I slept on this Koreless kid for so long but I'm glad I found him. This track doesn't infatuate me near as much as his 4D track (posted here last week) but it is still damn good...

Africa Hitech - Too Late Dub

Here is some futuristic sounding dub by African Hitech whose "Blen" (which is in contrast to this chill number) I posted recently here. I just posted this over at my other blog MadChange too. For those of you who read this blog and don't know, my MadChange blog contains (mostly) world music (heavy on cumbia), Future Soul, Chillwave and J Dilla type beats. Dig it like a gopher.

Fresh UK Funky track from Albert. Released April 2011 on Studio Rockers label.

MJ Cole & Wiley - From The Drop [Hint Remix]

More Wiley cuz it is such good Grime. UK always churning out top chunes.
