Ambassadeurs - Come A Little Closer E.P.

Come a Little Closer E.P by Ambassadeurs
I just discovered Ambassadeurs and I quite like what I hear. My favorites are Come A Little Closer and Can We Pretend. The Marvin Gaye remix is no joke either. You can find their first EP here on Bandcamp as well.

Raziek - I Can Do It

Raziek has a new EP out on Top Billin Music and the whole thing is solidly produced. Each track is nice on the ears but this track has the highest bpm count so I am posting it for the dance floor.

Omar & Zed Bias - Dancing (Jensby & Sam Young Remix)

I have to say I am pretty impressed with this remix by Jensby & Sam Young Remix. They take it out of the UK Funky realm but place it in a whole other realm of goodness. Smoothed out bouncing beat stylee.

Omar & Zed Bias - Dancing

It's been a minute since I posted some fresh ass UK Funky beats so here is some quintessential UK beat love for you. Everything about this track makes me miss living in the UK quite a bit (sadface emoticon). Odd that this particular track could ever make one sad... Anyway, I have spinnin a lot of UK Funky in my spare time and in my sets when the dancefloor is ripe for it and people's asses seem to respond nicely. But...I have a strong feeling that this sound is gonna creep into American pop music now that it has been mega popular in UK for about 3 years. I have heard elements of it already and it creeps me the fuck out. I know I'm gonna wake up some horrific morning and hear Kesha "singing?" over a UK Funky beat on Z100: all of todays shit hits, nothing more, nothing less.

Enjoy it while you can fellow underground heads, it is here today and over saturated tomorrow. The saving grace is amazing tracks like this will never be heard by the Z100 listeners.

Addison Groove - It's Got Me

This track by Addison Groove is a steady, stellar banger. Best track from Addison Groove yet if you ask this bloke.

Boards Of Canada medley - DJ Food

Sometime In The Future by DJ Food
Wowwy! DJ Food dices up some Boards of Canada to create a tasty meal for your third eye.

Shackleton - Blood on my Hands

Epic tune from Shackleton. In my opinion, this is one of the best "debut" tracks in the history of electronic music. I say debut because it is what put him and his label Skull Disco on the map (he might have had tracks available before this one, I'm not sure). It is his own spoken word poem about the fragility of life/structures in relation to Sept. 11th layered over a relentless beat that never gets old. It is a heavy and rather unforgettable debut. Yoin - Martial Status

More Juke ish.

TRAXMAN - THE COMEBACK

I'm posting more Juke because I just woke up in the middle of the night, paced and came to the conclusion that you need more footwork in your life. So here is Traxman off the Bang + Works compilation album from the Planet Mu record label.

Sepalcure - Deep City Insects

Deep City Insects by Sepalcure verges on being too house sounding for me but it stops just short, in a certain sweet spot. It utilizes spacey effects, and airy, stuttering vocals to keep it unique sounding.
